First Session- Scientific Writing Series – Held

The first session of the Scientific Writing Series (Faculty Development Programme), ‘An Introduction to Scientific Writing’ was conducted on 18-05-2021 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The session was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Manoj Kumar K. P. who lauded the Scientific Research Committee for conducting programmes during the lockdown. Dr. Hamesh Gangadharan was the host and invited Dr. Auswaf Ahsan to conduct the session. Dr. Prejith Sampath demonstrated how online tools could be used to find journals. A total of 50 participants which included faculty and postgraduates from the various departments attended the session.

A pre and post-test quiz to assess the efficacy of the programme was also conducted. Following the session, the participants were mailed assignments to evaluate their depth of understanding. Feedback on how the programme could be improved was obtained at the end of the session from the participants.
